While light from the south was very important to the structure; the architect wanted to have privacy from the adjacent home and so he created numerous portals of varying heights. The kitchen with a wall of Douglas fir cabinets sets a statement of grandeur and functionality with plenty of room for all necessary items that would please any avid chef. The 16 foot kitchen bar is another original piece of art glass designed by Savoy is etched with shell figures. The kitchen counters are granite, with 2 sinks and tile accents. The guest suite has a view of the bay and an adjoining bath with beautiful tile surround and counter tops. The stair case is a true work of art with use of handcrafted wood and glass panels. Up the stairs to the upper level are two bedrooms and a hall bath. One bedroom is on the west side of the home and has ocean views and the east bedroom faces the bay. The bath on this level is also enhanced by the use of hand crafted tile. The lower level boasts a wonderful family room with an area for games and an in home theater and set and ready to be enjoyed. There is also a full bath with a shower. The entry from the garage is at this level and has additional space for removing coats and shoes. There is a two car garage with additional area for storing bikes, golf clubs, etc. With the H design it also afforded two exterior decks that are protected from the coastal breezes; one deck faces east, has a table and barbecue and will catch the first light of the day peaking over the coastal range. The west deck has dramatic beach and ocean views and includes a hot tub.
