Imagine when a fabulous architectural design meshes with interior decorating to create a subtle mosaic of unique shapes that are projected throughout the home. Karl Golden an architect from Berkeley, California was given the task to design a home with wavy beach grass, sand and the blue Pacific to the west and the Siletz Bay and tree filled hills to the east. The entry deck views the Siletz Bay and morning sun that reflects over the coastal range. The glass door designed built by Savoy Glass allows the visitor to view through to the ocean. The entry is a hallway of glass windows that lead you to the living areas. One will immediately notice the small square windows on the south side of the home. While light from the south was very important to the structure; the architect wanted to have privacy from the adjacent home and so he created numerous portals of varying heights. The kitchen with a wall of Douglas fir cabinets sets a statement of grandeur and functionality with plenty of room for all necessary items that would please any avid chef.
